For the fourth annual Georgia Trustees Wine Challenge gala banquet, we have reached into the deep culinary traditions of the South, especially Georgia, to craft a banquet of Southern-inspired fare.
Executive Chef of the Classic Center, Jarad Blanton, has composed dishes that tap Georgia’s — and the South’s — culinary heritage.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., we will enjoy a reception at which Georgia’s wineries, cideries, and meaderies will pour their gold medal winners from this year’s competition. A selection of classic Southern nibbles will be served at the reception: Boiled Peanuts; Benedictine Sandwiches, and Fried Pickled Okra.
With seating at 7:30 p.m., the dinner will also feature Georgia wines, ciders and meads with different ones at each table.
At the banquet, the competition’s directors and the various award sponsors will present the grand awards. In addition, a slide presentation will capture some of the images of Georgia’s wine history and current status. Special guest speakers will include prominent guests in Georgia agriculture.
To register and pay for the dinner, please see below. Alternatively, you may pay by check made payable to the Georgia Trustees Wine Challenge, 1401 Dutch Valley Pl., NE, Atlanta, GA 30324. Please include the names of all members of your party. Reservations must be made by October 23rd so that we can give The Classic Center a final count by their deadline.
